NISHOKU ZAKI
NISHOKU ZAKI
SATSUKI has the following two blooming patterns.
A, The flower base color is white and it has purplish SHIBORI.
B, The flower base color is white and it has redish SHIBORI.
In addition to these patterns of two mixed colors, there are; a solid red, a solid white, a solid purple, and a
solid TOKI ( pink ) flower.
To conclude, there are four color groups among SATSKI.
When SATSKI has two colors in one flower, it is either red on a white base or purple on a white base, and there
is no other color to be seen.
A colored flower may look as if multi-color when in face it is in different tones of either solid red, purple,
or TOKI.
There are no other color mixed with these solid colors.
However, every year, through new artificial or natural hybridization and mutation, new breeds are
introduced..........And from time-to-time unique color patterns appear.
NISHOKU ZAKI has two different color groups, in addition to the base color.
For example, there is a flower that has a white base color with purplish SHIBORI and redish SHIBORI.
a base color plus two other color makes triple colored blossom.
Yet, because the base color is not counted it is but two additional colors.
